This is my first pulped natural coffee and it comes from a number of farms in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil.  The lead is Fazenda Lagoa which has been growing coffee for well over a 100 years.  I love the fact that you can see this farm and the crops by looking at Google Maps.
I made a good point of brewing lots of different types of drinks out of these beans and I was astounded how crisp and flavoursome they all came out.  There really is a difference between coffee with a roasted date and coffee with a use by date.  I learned during my barista course at Origin, that a coffee needs a few days after roasting before it’s prime, so I waited a few days after it arrived.
This particular espresso has a slight toffee taste that complements the dark chocolate that it starts with.  Truly splendid stuff.
